Following recent reports which said West Ham United are interested in Montpellier striker Akor Adams, the player has now spoken about it.
With AC Milan also said to be interested in the player, outlet MilanNews managed to hold an exclusive interview with the 23-year-old about his future.
The player claimed he’s not aware of anything about a West Ham move, but still, he did tease about it by complimenting the Premier League.
“To tell the truth, I haven’t thought about it and I don’t know anything. We are in the current season, my mind is on Montpellier but for all children the Premier League is a dream,” said Adams.
Regarding the possibility of joining his Nigerian compatriot Samuel Chukwueze at AC Milan, Adams also avoided saying much.
“It’s too early to talk about it, but Chuk is a very good player and everyone knows that Milan is one of the best clubs in the world. For now I can’t say anything but all football fans know that Milan is a top club and I too am aware of it. But to date I have still never been to Italy.”
Montpellier found Adams in Norway, where he had been playing for Lillestrom, and only spent €4.5m to get him signed last summer.
So far, the striker has seven goals in 16 appearances for the French side, and is proving to have been a good investment.
Transfermarkt now have him valued at €12m, and we shall see how much Montpellier will request for his move, especially because it’d be no surprise if other clubs join West Ham and Milan in the race for his transfer.
