Earlier on Wednesday, we covered a report from Bild regarding Eintracht Frankfurt’s interest in Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek.
The Dutchman has long been forgotten by Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, and his need for more minutes on the pitch has become very desperate.
The Bundesliga side are keen to bring the Manchester United flop to Frankfurt in January, and Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg brings his own information to the table on Wednesday.
Taking to X to deliver it, he explains that the club are ‘optimistic about winning the race’ to get the 26-year-old in the coming weeks.
He confirms that talks with those around him are ‘ongoing’, and there is a ‘top relation’ between his agent, Hasan Cetinkaya and those in charge of the German club.
As for his lack of playing time at Manchester United, that has ‘not deterred’ Eintracht, who fully ‘believe’ in the player’s ability.
However, Plettenberg makes it very clear that it is ‘not a done deal yet’ as ‘several details still need to be clarified’.
Regarding the formula of the move, it ‘will be a loan for sure’, and it’s still not clear whether they would want to include an option to make the move permanent down the line.
