The Brazilian media today shares an update on Gustavo Scarpa’s situation at Nottingham Forest.
According to ESPN Brasil, the player shouldn’t stay at the club for the 2023/24 season.
The outlet claims that after being out of the squad which faced Arsenal in the opening fixture, he’s now ‘discussing his future’ with the club and his agents.
ESPN Brasil says that Nottingham Forest wanted to judge the player during the pre-season, but he didn’t leave a good impression, and he’s now likely to leave.
The story doesn’t make it very clear whether the Tricky Trees wanted him to leave on loan or a permanent deal.
Even though Scarpa has recently been linked with a move to Greece, the outlet claims there’s ‘nothing concrete’ so far.
It was in January that the midfielder joined the Reds on a free transfer from Palmeiras, and only made 10 appearances for the City Ground side. His contract with Nottingham Forest runs until 2026.
