For as long as we can remember, the Italian media have been pushing the idea that Leeds United have a clause to get around 50% of Elia Caprile’s next transfer.
The Whites sold the youngster to Bari last summer for a minimal amount, with it then claimed they would have a huge percentage of a future fee, and that could be on the verge of going through.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who state that Napoli have ‘reached the finish line’ in negotiations for the player, and the Serie A champions will pay a fee of around €6-7m for the former Leeds goalkeeper.
We’ll have to wait and see what is said once the dust settled regarding any money owed to Leeds, but Caprile will not stay at Napoli long, as he is expected to be loaned out to Empoli, who have been looking for a new number one goalkeeper after they sold Guglielmo Vicario to Tottenham earlier on in the transfer window.
