Earlier on Thursday, we covered claims made in the Italian media that West Ham United are set to make an offer to sign Juventus’ Denis Zakaria. It was also stated the Serie A side are demanding €25m to let go of the midfielder in the summer window.
The said proposal has now arrived at the Turin club if a report from Calciomercato is to be believed.
It’s claimed West Ham have a ‘general understanding’ with the midfielder, who’s ready to return to London after a loan spell at Chelsea last season.
Although the gap in valuation between the two clubs isn’t a lot, the report explains that the formula proposed by the Hammers doesn’t please the Old Lady so far.
Juve are open to meeting the Europa Conference League winners to try and quickly close the deal.
Their intention is to sell the Switzerland international and if it’s a loan deal, they want to include an automatic obligation as part of the deal.
West Ham are keen to sign Zakaria while Juventus are hoping that his transfer could be concluded soon so that he doesn’t have to return for the pre-season training. This could see the two clubs work together to find an agreement.
