On Tuesday, claims from England stated Newcastle United have made a bid for AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali.
This is backed up by Sportitalia, who claim the Magpies have ‘already made the first official offer’ to the Serie A side. The bid for the midfielder is around €60-65m.
It’s stated Milan are ‘evaluating the proposal’ made by Newcastle and their decision is now awaited.
The Premier League side have also made a ‘monstrous offer’ to the 23-year-old.
That’s at least what MilanNews.it are reporting and they add the Tyneside club’s interest in the player is not only real but ‘very concrete’, which is ‘making the player think’.
The outlet states Newcastle have proposed a ‘very rich contract’ to the Italy international which would see him double his current salary of €3-3.5m per year.
Tonali has a decision to make on whether or not to accept the offer made by Eddie Howe’s side. If he were to ‘give in’ to Newcastle’s proposal, only then will negotiations between the two clubs will come to life.
At that point, there’s every chance, and a probability, that Milan would push for a higher fee than the €60m.
