Claims of Liverpool interest in Inaki Williams have been regular in recent months. Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen on the Athletic Club Bilbao forward and Liverpool’s scouts have provided him with a series of good reports on the player.

In February it was reported by Spanish newspaper AS that Liverpool ‘yearn’ to sign Inaki, and that came not so long after similar claims from Marca.

Thursday’s edition of AS pushes the idea of Liverpool and Juventus being very keen indeed. The interest from Anfield is said to be long term, and it’s pointed out Liverpool considered signing the player in January of last year, before he renewed his contract.

Liverpool and Juventus are weighing up whether the €50m is too much or not, and scouting reports are helping this. They’ll need to hurry because it would be no surprise if Inaki clause is raised again in the foreseeable future.

Jurgen Klopp will have to decide if he wishes to spend such a big part of his budget on Ianki.

A ruling from the Spanish tax authorities has cleared up that payments from to allow footballers to deposit buyout clauses are not subject to tax, and therefore it would be the straight €50m Liverpool would have to pay.
