Manchester City target Jeison Murillo is reportedly set to have his contract renewed by his club Inter Milan.
As reported in today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Italian side are negotiating new deals to several players of the squad.
And Murillo would be one of them, as the club want to extend his contract until 2022.
This could be a blow for Manchester City, since the Colombian defender has been much linked to the club in the past few months.
We’re mentioning Pep Guardiola’s side because they’re the only potential destination by Gazzetta. But Murillo has actually been linked to several Premier League sides this season.
Last month, Tuttosport claimed that both Manchester United and Arsenal would be keen on signing the player next summer.
What Gazzetta are probably referring is the reported loan deal that Manchester City tried to complete in the January window, which was turned down by Inter Milan.
It would explain why the Italian side would want to give the player a new deal now, as the competition for him is only growing.
Let’s see if he’s gonna take it.
