Watford are one of the Championship sides who are interested in AS Roma youngster Bryan Reynolds, according to reports from the Italian media.
Calcio Mercato today features a story claiming there’s an ‘auction’ going on to sign the 21-year-old this summer.
It’s said that besides Watford, the likes of Hull City and Swansea City would like to bring him to the Championship as well.
But there’s now also interest from the Eredivisie, as Feyenoord are said to have joined the race for the signing.
Reynolds belongs to Roma but is actually having a loan at Westerlo which includes a buying option worth €7m. So the clubs who want him signed this summer still don’t know whether they’d need to negotiate with the Italian or Belgian side.
With Feyenoord playing Roma in the Europa League, it’s claimed that the clubs will certainly be talking about the transfer before their next encounter, as if Westerlo wouldn’t have a say on this in case the Giallorossi choose to negotiate the player.
The fact is that the race seems to be heating up, so Watford, Hull City and Swansea City better watch out for this Dutch competition as well.
