Liverpool are ‘making a move’ to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich as they step up their efforts to reshape their midfield this summer.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who say the Reds are pushing to secure the Dutch midfielder.
They explain that there are ‘prominent interested parties’ looking at Gravenberch, who joined Bayern last summer but has only managed four starts all season.
Liverpool are one of those who are keen on him and are ‘now going on the offensive’ to try and secure his signature.
According to their information, Klopp and co are ‘making a move’ to get Gravenberch ahead of the competition, with Manchester United and Arsenal also among his suitors.
This is backed up by BILD journalist Christian Falk, who they cite as reporting a recent meeting between Liverpool officials and Gravenberch’s advisors.
Their interest in the midfielder is a long-standing one, with them also exploring the possibility of signing him in the January transfer window. Now they are planning a new offensive as they look for alternatives to Jude Bellingham, who they have given up on signing.
They’ll face a struggle with Bayern Munich, though, with Falk reporting that they’re ‘not interested’ in selling the midfielder despite Konrad Laimer being set to join in the summer.
That will add further competition for places and push Gravenberch further down the pecking order, particularly with Thomas Tuchel making it clear there’s no place for him in the short term, but hasn’t changed the club’s management’s plans to keep hold of him.
