Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko has drawn the attention of Chelsea and Barcelona.
Last week, Sport reported the Blues are the team showing most interest in the striker and Dortmund are ready to part ways with him in January.
The 18-year-old Germany international has six months left on his deal and BVB chief Sebastian Kehl has urged him to provide clarity over his future.
“Of course, we want to make the decision in a timely manner. It is important for everyone involved to have clarity,” Kehl told Westdeutschen Allgemeinen Zeitung.
Kehl’s comments are relayed by Sky Deutschland, who then provide their own information on this case.
It’s claimed there was a meeting between the Bundesliga side and Moukoko’s camp before Christmas. BVB made their last renewal offer, but the teenager is not willing to accept it. This is reported by Sky transfer expert Marc Behrenbeck, who discusses Chelsea’s interest in the player.
According to Behrenbeck, Chelsea have ‘made an offer for the German national striker’. It’s not made clear whether Graham Potter’s side have made a proposal to Dortmund to sign Moukoko in January or to the player to join them for free next summer.
Either way, his future seems to be away from Dortmund as Sky say BVB are ‘threatened with a Moukoko departure’. Time will tell if he leaves in January or after this season.
