It seems Bruno Lage could take an unusual path following his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to reports from Brazil, Corinthians are very interested in signing the manager, and already made the first contacts to bring him to São Paulo, making him the ‘favourite’ for the time being.
The information comes from outlet Torcedores, with journalist Wilson Pimentel claiming club representatives called Lage for an approach.
It’s stated the former Wolves boss is interested in listening to what Corinthians have to offer in terms of project. Still, no financial issues have been discussed so far.
According to Torcedores, Lage already made some demands before opening talks, which includes the staff that will work with him and the power to suggest some signings.
Club president Duilio Monteiro Alves is set to analyse his requests before negotiating with his staff.
Corinthians have been without a manager since the departure of Vitor Pereira, who, coincidentally, was linked to the Wolves job.
Lage left the Molineux side in early October, having spent just over a year at the club. There, he held a record of 19 wins in 51 games in charge.
