Chelsea could be planning to advance for two Torino players during the next transfer window, according to Italian outlet CalcioMercato.
It starts with Andrea Belotti, who has been the subject of several transfer rumours this season. The website claims that Chelsea officials were in Milan to talk to the player’s entourage, but will find it difficult to sign him if Torino ask for the €100m release clause.
CalcioMercato claims that this possibility would be more likely in case the Chinese clubs keep insisting on Diego Costa, which would mean a bigger budget for Roman Abramovich to replace the striker.
The other player is Joe Hart, who’s on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season. As he’s considered to be too expensive for Torino to buy, there isn’t much hope he’s staying in Italy after the summer.
The outlet says that Hart has met the Chelsea representatives in Milan on his day off. The player is said to be in Antonio Conte’s wish-list, and even though they claim the price for Torino would be around €14m, it’s hard to believe Manchester City would let him go to the Premier League rivals for only that.
At the same time, it’s also hard to believe Hart would accept being back-up to Thibaut Courtois, that is unless the Belgian goalkeeper is going somewhere. Courtois has seemed to have itchy feet on several occasions in his Chelsea career so that wouldn’t be entirely shocking.
