Earlier today, news emerged from France that Hull City had made a bid for Angers forward Nicolas Pépé, which was said to have matched what the Ligue 1 club were asking for.
FootMercato reported that the ball was in the player’s court regarding a move to Marco Silva’s new club, and everyone was waiting on him to make a decision, which has now seemingly been made.
According to French journalist Julien Hippocrate, Stéphane Moulin, Angers’ manager, announced in a press conference ahead of his team’s clash against Caen on Wednesday in the French Cup, that Nicolas Pépé wasn’t going anywhere, suggesting a move to the KCOM Stadium was now off.

The 21-year-old had attracted a lot of interest during the first-half of the season, scoring three goals and picking up an assist in 20 appearances, and was being followed by both Olympique de Marseille and Lyon as well as Hull City.
Unless there’s a huge turn of events in the coming hours, that’s the end of the Nicolas Pépé to Hull City story.
