Earlier on Tuesday we covered reports from Portuguese newspaper A Bola which detailed Norwich City’s continued willingness to sign Marvin Zeegelaar.
The Dutch left-back has turned down a move to the Championship club, and O Jogo said it was about money as well as dropping down to a second tier.
Norwich had agreed a fee with Sporting for Zeegelaar and the Portuguese club are still keen for the player to go. With it being late in the window, they’d now accept a loan, with the hope of a buying option, and that’s where Crystal Palace and Hull City come in.
Crystal Palace are credited with more long term interest, whereas Hull can be targeted as the club seem to be dispensing with the idea of permanent players in favour of loaning in half their team.
Sporting are keen to get a deal done and should Crystal Palace or Hull City offer reasonable loan deals then Zeegelaar is likely theirs.
