Arsenal would be able to ‘easily afford’ a €20m fee for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jesper Lindstrøm in the January transfer window.

That’s according to BILD, who say the Gunners ‘want to strengthen their attacking midfield’ options with the 22-year-old.

They’ve been linked to the forward over the last week or so, with reports explaining that they had put out feelers regarding a potential move to the Emirates.

That was followed by the player openly admitting he was delighted to hear about the rumours, stating that Arsenal’s interest was something he welcomed.

BILD follow that up and state that Arsenal are looking to strengthen their forward options in the winter window and a fee of €20m would be ‘easy for the Gunners to handle’.

They also wanted Lindstrøm in the summer of 2021, but he went to Germany instead at that point in time.

There is still no offer on the table at Frankfurt, and they’re not interested in a deal anyway, with sporting director Markus Krösche telling the newspaper “for us, it is not a goal to give away key players in the winter break. We want to keep our key players.”

That’s their stance on the mounting rumours but the belief is that if Arsenal are genuinely keen, they can easily afford whatever asking price is put on him.
