Rangers were one of 39 different clubs to send scouts to watch Denmark U21s 2-1 win over Croatia’s Under 21s last night.
That’s according to TV2, who explain that there was an exhaustive list of scouts in attendance for the game.
According to their information, no fewer than 39 different clubs from around Europe had sent scouts to watch the clash, which saw the two sides competing for a place at next year’s European Championship.
Rangers were one of them, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s club the only one from Scotland to send observers to the Vejle Stadium.
There is no mention of who all of the scouts were at the game to watch, with Croatia running out as winners with a 5-4 success after the game went to penalties.
Midfielder’s Matt O’Riley and Morten Frendrup were on the scoresheet for Denmark, although we’d be surprised if Rangers are there to watch the former, given he plays for rivals Celtic.
Striker Igor Matanovic was also on the scoreline for Croatia, so he is likely to have caught the eye for the man from Ibrox as well.
Perhaps we’ll see someone from the game linked in the coming weeks or months, with Rangers and the rest of the huge group all surely there for a specific reason that TV2 don’t know about just yet.
