Bordeaux striker Hwang Ui-jo is ‘starting to think’ about accepting Nottingham Forest’s offer, even though he will be loaned out to Olympiacos.
That’s according to To10, who cover how the player has been doing his research on the Greek club as he considers his options.
Hwang has been heavily linked with a move away from Bordeaux this summer, with him one of the more saleable assets in their squad.
They desperately need to sell him and other players to raise funds and alleviate their financial problems and Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs who are keen.
They’ve already struck an agreement with the French side, but Hwang has been mulling over his options as a move to Nottingham would see him immediately shipped out to own Angelos Marinakis’ other club Olympiacos for the season.
He was reportedly not keen on that and so looking elsewhere but To10 say he now may be changing his mind.
They report that Olympiakos’ Imbom Huang has ‘joined the game’ to convince his international teammate to make the move.
He’s been speaking to Hwang about to explain everything about Olympiacos, discussing the facilities, the stadium, the city and generally solving any questions Hwang might have in an attempt to ‘remove any hesitation’.
The Bordeaux man is ‘now considering’ accepting Nottingham Forest’s offer and joining Olympiacos on loan for the season.
According to the outlet, if he does accept then a move to Forest is ‘likely to proceed very quickly’ as there is already a financial understanding in place with Bordeaux.
