Leeds United have tabled a bid for Salernitana forward Massimo Coda, according to claims in the Italian and British media. The 28-year-old has been with linked with Leeds United in the last six months after his agent held talks with the Championship side in the last window.
It’s also been claimed Coda will consider the bid from Leeds United and whether he would welcome a move to England. The forward has the chance to step up to Serie A with some of the minor clubs showing an interest in him.
However, it seems these reports have come about after comments made this week by his agent Beppe Galli to TMW. Coda’s agent confirmed there have been requests for his client, but no clubs were mentioned.
Galli wasn’t quizzed on the interest from Leeds United as reported in the British media, but was merely asked if the player would be leaving his current club.
Therefore, it looks pretty much like everyone has jumped the gun here.
