Everton have joined the list of suitors for Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos and are ‘preparing to come forward’ with a bid.
That’s according to Record, who say the Toffees are ready to compete with several other Premier League sides for the 21-year-old’s signature.
Everton are desperately scouring the market for a new striker before the end of the transfer window after losing Dominic Calvert-Lewin to a knee injury.
That’s left them with just Salomon Rondon up front, but the Venezuelan is not a long-term solution by any means and reinforcement is needed.
They’ve subsequently been linked with forwards around Europe and Record say Ramos can now be added to the list of targets.
According to their information, Everton ‘joined the list of interested parties’ and are now ‘preparing to come forward’ with an offer for Benfica.
What they’re willing to pay for the striker isn’t made clear, just that they are preparing to make a bid and beat the likes of Southampton, Newcastle, Wolves and Nottingham Forest to his signature.
