When reading stories about the future of Juventus midfielder Arthur, we always expect to see Arsenal being named, and Calcio Mercato don’t disappoint us today.

The outlet features an update which makes it clear that the player’s departure from the Turin side is the most wanted scenario this summer, since he and the club both want his transfer.

It’s clear that Arthur’s salary of over €8m net per season is a problem for the interested clubs, along with the price demanded by Juventus, even though the Old Lady are open to discounts.

Arsenal continue to be considered ‘a way out’ for the player. Even though there was no agreement for a swap with Gabriel Magalhães, the Gunners are said to be ‘still thinking about it’.

Arthur’s return to Barcelona is a possible scenario as well, but the Catalan side may not have a place for him there, that’s seen as an unrealistic aim from the player. Meanwhile, AS Monaco are said to be a ‘real hypothesis’ that ‘never took off’.

As long as there are ‘certainties on the obligation to redeem’, Juventus are said to be open to loaning Arthur, knowing their options are limited. That could be a way for Arsenal to land him, in case the Gunners don’t want to pay for the transfer this summer.
