Roberto Firmino has less than a year left on his contract at Liverpool. Prior to the Reds’ Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid, the forward insisted he wants to stay at Anfield.
Since then, the Merseyside club have signed Darwin Núñez and let Sadio Mané make the move to Bayern Munich.
In addition to this, Mohamed Salah has committed his long-term future to Liverpool. Firmino will now have to battle with several players for a place in the starting lineup next term.
Although the 30-year-old indicated back in May he wants to continue with the Premier League side, Juventus are evaluating the possibility to sign him this summer.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who explain the Serie A side’s management would have ‘presented a formal offer’ of €23m to Liverpool for the Brazil international.
The report explains the Turin club’s offer has generated doubts within the Premier League side. Therefore, Juventus could raise their proposal in the coming days in order to reach an agreement with Liverpool for Firmino as soon as possible.
There’s no mention whether Jürgen Klopp’s man has changed or is willing to change his stance on making a move away from Liverpool in the ongoing window.
