With many claims that Napoli would be making a move for Armando Broja, it appears it’s actually West Ham United who are set to land the Chelsea striker.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who claim the player is ‘one step away’ from moving to London Stadium, set to leave Stamford Bridge for good.
The website state West Ham ‘have offered €35m’ to Chelsea for the player’s sale, but while it seems close, it’s made clear the deal ‘is not closed just yet’.
TuttoMercatoWeb make it clear these are ‘decisive hours’, with Broja seemingly set to stay in the Premier League rather than move to Serie A.
It’s a well known fact that West Ham need a striker, having relied mostly on Michail Antonio for goals last year, with little to no backup in the position.
This time, it appears those in charge of the Hammers have decided to look in England for their man, rather than gambling on an option from abroad, following Broja’s successful spell at Southampton last year.
