There may be Patrice Evra progress! At least according to Turin newspaper Tuttosport.
In a Friday article about lots of potential ins and outs for Juventus, Tuttosport inevitably cover the Patrice Evra situation. It’s claimed that ‘lingering doubts’ Patrice Evra has had about a transfer to Crystal Palace are melting away.
Therefore, say Tuttosport, Juventus are able to push on with their recruitment of a replacement. It sounds positive for Crystal Palace and Sam Allardyce, but there’s every possibility Tuttosport are assuming, or hoping.
Evra’s agent made it clear the player needed a week to ten days to make his decision, which takes the mini transfer saga to January 26th at the outside range.
There had been suggestions in Italy that Evra was waiting for other offers to come in, hopefully something more attractive to him than a relegation battle.
However, for the past few days there haven’t really been any other clubs linked with Evra, which is positive for Crystal Palace’s hopes.
