Barcelona and Leeds United are ‘about to close the deal’ for the transfer of Raphinha, according to the latest claims from Spain.
Journalist Gerard Romero claims the Camp Nou side made an of around €60m, and that’s apparently enough to take the Elland Road star.
As widely reportedly for weeks, Raphinha already has a deal with Barcelona, with this report saying they reached an agreement for a salary worth €6m net per season.
According to the report, the Catalan side will pay for the transfer in three instalments, and that’s something Leeds already agreed with.
Gerard Romero adds that in recent days, Newcastle United also made an approach for the signing, but that was turned down by the Brazilian. He claims the Magpies’ offer was big and was received by the Whites last night, but with the player himself rejecting it, there was apparently not a lot the Elland Road side could do.
Recent reports had claimed Raphinha had put Chelsea on hold so his agent Deco could convince Barcelona to make an effort to land him, and it seems his plan worked just fine.
