Nottingham Forest are eyeing a move for Udinese star Nahuel Molina but will have to beat Juventus to his signature.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by Firenze Viola, who cover the player’s future amid interest from Fiorentina.
The newspaper explains that Molina is Juventus’ number one target for the right-back position this summer, with the 24-year-old having impressed for Udinese and established himself as Argentina’s first-choice right-back as well.
Juventus and Udinese have tried to set up negotiations over a deal, with the defender valued at €30m, but they are yet to properly progress on a deal.
That’s opened the door for other suitors, with Nottingham Forest, Fiorentina and Atlético Madrid also fans.
Nottingham Forest are likely to need a new right-back this summer to replace Djed Spence, who is in advanced negotiations with Tottenham after his impressive performances in the Championship last season.
His departure would leave a huge hole in Steve Cooper’s side, and it seems they think Molina would fill it nicely.
The competition is fierce, though, while the player is also said to want the move to Juventus as they hold an ‘important appeal’ for him.
That means Forest have work on their hands if they want to get this deal over the line, with the competition fierce and the player eyeing up other options.
