It’s been a couple of months since Fulham were first said to be close to completing the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon.
Back in April, reports from the Italian media pointed out the ‘real bargain’ the club were about to find, and this month it was once again said they were ‘one step away’ from an agreement for the transfer.
Today, we see that there are other clubs trying to join the competition for the 22-year-old.
French outlet Le10Sport writes that Nice have a strong interest in the player, with manager Lucien Favre making him an ‘absolute priority’ for the club this summer.
However, the outlet also makes it clear that Fulham ‘are ahead’ of the Ligue 1 side, as ‘an offer has already been submitted’.
The report says there a ‘final duel’ between Nice and the Cottagers for the signing, as ‘no other teams seem able to join’ this competition for him. But it still sounds like the French club must make their move, otherwise the winger continues to be closer to London.
Those first reports from Italy said Fulham were about to get the deal done for €8m.
