Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of articles written about the future of Dennis Praet at Leicester City.
Loaned by the Foxes to Torino for the season, the Belgian midfielder impressed when he wasn’t injured, which has led his manager there, Ivan Juric, to push for his club to try and keep his star.
A €15m option to buy was included in the deal, which was deemed a bit high by the Serie A side considering the Leicester loanee had suffered with fitness issues, and while they weren’t against keeping him for longer, they wanted to do it in another way.
Calciomercato bring an update on the matter on Tuesday, reiterating that Praet is one of the players Juric ‘would like to see confirmed’ for next season.
As things stand, the club’s technical director, Davide Vagnati, ‘is working to try and obtain a discount or at least a loan renewal with an obligation to buy next year’.
However, should he fail to get Leicester to agree to any of this, Torino’s president, Urbano Cairo, ‘could decide to spend the €15m needed to please his manager’.
We’ll have to wait and see, then.
