The chances of Andreas Pereira’s return to Manchester United continue to be reported by the South American media.
It’s now time for Goal Brasil to write that Erik ten Hag’s arrival at the Red Devils could be a ‘decisive factor’ for the midfielder to return to Old Trafford.
Their piece claims the two have an ‘old relationship’ as they worked together during their time at PSV, when Pereira was formed in the manager’s playing style.
Goal Brasil claims that Ten Hag even tried to sign Pereira for Ajax, and the offer was declined by the player, who wanted to show respect for his former side.
Now it’s said that the ‘numbers and performances’ from the midfielder for Flamengo last year were ‘well evaluated’ by Manchester United, who’d give him a chance at the club next season in case he does go back.
Back at the weekend, TNT Sports reported that Pereira received a call from Red Devils’ director John Murtough, who said the club are counting on him for next season in case he wants to return.
Flamengo, who’d initially agreed a €20m buying option with Manchester United, currently have a deal to make the move permanent for only €10m.
Now the transfer has become unlikely since he was sent to the bench, and as written by Goal Brasil, he sees the work from new manager Paulo Sousa with ‘incompatibility with his style of play’.
According to the story, there are people who say that Pereira’s future is in his hands, as he evaluates the chance of returning to Manchester United.
