German magazine SportBild have picked out 7 of the Bundesliga’s most wanted young players, and they believe Tottenham are keen on three of them.
Earlier we covered a claim Tottenham and Arsenal interest un Freiburg’s 22 year old Maximilian Philipp, but the other two players linked are probably more widely known.
Mauricio Pochettino is said to be interested in both Christian Pulisic and Mahmoud Dahoud.
Pulisic is just 18 years old, he’s a right footed winger who can also play on the left or through the middle. As well as receiving attention from Pochettino and Tottenham, it’s been repeatedly reported that Liverpool are interested.
With a contract running until June 2019, Borussia Dortmund are under no immediate pressure to sell and so Tottenham, or anyone else, would have to put up a big fee.
Borussia Monchengladbach’s Dahoud would probably be an easier purchase for Tottenham. The 21 year old is a right footed central midfielder, and his contract runs out in June 2018, meaning a year from now he could talk to other clubs.
SportBild have reiterated claims the player has a €10m clause applicable in the summer, which would be rather handy for Tottenham. That claim has been challenged a couple of times, but SportBild seem pretty sure Pochettino could get his man for that amount.
If Gladbach don’t get a renewal before the summer than a sale will be a consideration, clause or no clause.
