Valencia want to make Tottenham loanee Bryan Gil ‘fall in love’ with the club so they can convince him to stay in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to El Desmarque, who say there is a plan to almost take the decision out of Tottenham’s hands.
Gil joined the Spanish side on loan in the January transfer window after a difficult few months at Spurs, where he had struggled for game time under Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.
He’s been a revelation since his arrival, establishing himself as a key player under Jose Bordalas with a series of impressive performances.
He continued that this week with another starring role, this time for Spain’s U21 set up during the international break.
That display and goal was a further demonstration of his growing confidence as a result of the success he’s enjoying with Valencia, and plays right into the La Liga side’s hands.
He’s been ‘wowing’ the club and their fans for two months since his arrival and ‘has returned to smile’ because of it.
He’s not only ‘felt important’, but it’s also returned him to the orbit of the national team, who had stopped looking at him when he sat out of the picture for Tottenham.
The player’s aim is to make it to the World Cup in Qatar and to do so, he will need to be playing regularly and full of confidence, both of which he’s getting with Valencia.
So their plan is ‘make Bryan fall in love’ with the club in case there is a possibility that Tottenham will be open to extending his loan in the summer.
They identify strongly with the player, and the fans are applauding him, asking him to stay, something he is more than aware of.
There is a plan in place for him to stay, and he’s made it clear he’s open to the idea, with Valencia ensuring they will do everything they can to get it over the line.
