Across the Italian media this morning there were reports that Paulo Dybala’s agent was set for a Monday meeting with Juventus, to decide whether the Argentine would be renewing his contract or leaving the Turin club as a free agent.
This is relevant to Tottenham Hotspur, given Antonio Conte’s side have been repeatedly linked with the player recently, more so than any other Premier League club.
On February 22nd, we covered claims that Fabio Paratici has ‘already spoken’ to Dybala about a move, and that Tottenham had made the ‘firmest offer’ to the Juventus attacker.
On March 19th, it was reported Paratici has already ‘moved to test the ground’, making contact about bringing Dybala to Spurs as a free agent.
Well, there are now reports across the Italian media that the Monday meeting didn’t go well at all.
TMW say the initial news from the meeting is that Dybala ‘will not renew’ and therefore is approaching a ‘farewell’ at the end of the season.
This is of course good news for Tottenham and any other clubs who are keen on bringing the 28-year-old in.
