Earlier today, we’ve seen reports from Spain claiming that Barcelona had a ‘top executive’ in Manchester to discuss some transfer business.
According to Cadena SER, it was club chief Mateu Alemany who was in talks with Manchester City for the loan deal of Raheem Sterling.
Now even though Barça’s pursuit for the English winger has been reported for a while now, it turns out that new claims from Spain say the club are actually in talks for another player from Pep Guardiola’s side.
We now see journalist Gerard Romero claiming that the Camp Nou club are actually in negotiations with Manchester City for the transfer of Ferran Torres.
It’s said that the Torres sees the move ‘with good eyes’.
That’s why he’s spoken to Pep Guardiola and claimed he wants to go to Barcelona, as even though he has other options, he ‘only thinks of Barça’.
Meanwhile, it’s made clear the manager will have ‘the last word’.
Romero claims it’s Mateu Alemany who’s indeed in charge of the talks, and labels his news as ‘exclusive for now’, although it shouldn’t take long until the Spanish media is all over it.
