Manchester City midfielder Rodri has shared his delight at being at the club and the constant improvement they demand from him.
The Spaniard has been a regular for Pep Guardiola’s side since arriving from Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2019.
In that time, he has established himself as the first-choice defensive midfielder in Guardiola’s side, who have needed to find a replacement for Fernandinho in the position for the last few years.
They’ve seemingly found that in the Spain international, who can continued to develop and impress under the tutelage of Guardiola.
Indeed, when he is out of the side, his absence is sorely felt, as it was in the Champions League final defeat to Chelsea last season.
At 25 years of age, he is set to enter the prime moments of his career and is at a club in Manchester City that will be competing for honours both domestically and in Europe.
It’s something he’s more than aware of, sharing his delight at how things have gone at the Etihad for him so far.
“I’ve found a place where I’m very happy,” he told Radio Marca.
“I can develop my football and improve with one of the best coaches in a spectacular team.
“I’m in a place where they believe in continuous improvement. Every year there is a desire to improve, that is key for me.”
