The international break hasn’t really got going yet, and it’s already provided an injury headache for Manchester United.
Monday saw Paul Pogba in a training session, alongside France teammate Benjamin Pavard. During the session, Pogba was taking shots, when he suddenly pulled up and cried out in pain.
The midfielder then limped off the training pitch, and all of this was caught on video by RMC. It was pretty clear the issue wasn’t simply a trivial one, and now RMC report the ‘first diagnosis’ has arrived.
It’s not good news for Pogba, Didier Deschamps or the Premier League club.
According to the report, Pogba is set to be out of action for ‘eight to ten weeks’.
He’s now been sent back to Manchester United so the club can test the injury themselves and make a plan of action for the player’s return, which is likely to be after the busy Christmas period.
As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer navigates his club through a particularly difficult period, he’ll hope this is the last injury blow of the international break.
