Real Sociedad star Alexander Isak is the type of player who’s been linked to several Premier League sides in the past few years, and today, it’s Arsenal who are said to be chasing him.
The news comes from Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claims that the signing of the 22-year-old has become a ‘total priority’ for the Gunners.
It’s said the London side are looking to strengthen their attack for the next season, especially because of the potential departures of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazzette. That’s why they thought of Isak.
And the Sweden international, who has five goals and one assist this season, could be sold by Real Sociedad in case the right offer arrives.
Fichajes writes that the La Liga side ‘wouldn’t rule out his exit’ in case Arsenal’s bid is good enough. They point out that the player is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €40m, and that’s a sign he could be the biggest sale the Spanish club have ever made.
However, since this is said to be a chase for the next season, it looks unlikely that the move could be done ‘in the coming weeks’ as they say.
