Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham ‘like’ AS Roma youngster Ebrima Darboe, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Serie A side took the 20-year-old for their academy from lower division Italian side, Young Rieti, in 2017.
Having come up through he ranks of the Giallorossi’s youth system, the midfielder made his first team debut in last season’s Europa League semi-final defeat to Manchester United back in May.
José Mourinho has included the player in his squad several times and even handed him two starts this season. His current deal will run down in 2023, and Roma want to secure his long-term future by offering a new contract.
According to TMW, the Italian capital club met with the Gambia international’s entourage in the summer. Since then, the contacts have continued between the two parties.
Roma, however, will face a challenge because of the ‘English sirens’ from Fulham and Tottenham.
As per the report, Darboe is ‘receiving important attention’ from Nuno Espírito Santo’s side and the Championship club.
The English duo’s ‘attention’ on Darboe could be converted into a firm interest or an offer, if Mourinho hands him more minutes in the coming weeks and months.
