Bought from AS Roma for around £20m in 2019, Luca Pellegrini has spent more time out on loan than he has with the Turin club.
Returning from a year-long spell with Genoa in the summer, he was kept by Max Allegri for his squad, and yet he’s barely used him.
That’s caused a few clubs to come knocking, including West Ham United, who currently have Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku at left-back.
Calciomercato cover the interest on Friday, as the player ‘seems to be hostage to the bench, and above all used very little’.
Pellegrini is said to have ‘refused all possible destinations’ during the last transfer window to try and fight for his spot at Juventus, but that hasn’t worked out so well, and the belief now is that ‘it is certain he will go away on loan’.
In the Premier League, ‘West Ham have tested the waters several times’, but it’s made clear ‘his departure will be a dry loan’, meaning the Serie A side will not entertain the idea of him leaving permanently.
If the Hammers want him, they’ll have to make do with that, or simply look elsewhere.
