As things stand, Tottenham aren’t having a great time.
Losing 3-1 to their North London rivals Arsenal at the weekend, Nuno Espírito Santo’s men also started their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign on the wrong foot with a 2-2 draw against Stade Rennais.
Their next fixtures in the competition will seem them welcome Slovenian side NS Mura before travelling to Holland to face Vitesse Arnhem.
While that latter fixture doesn’t take place until October 21st, that hasn’t stopped the Eredivisie side from getting some early scouting in, as reported by de Gelderlander.
The outlet explain that Vitesse coach Thomas Letsch travelled to London at the weekend to watch Tottenham take on Arsenal, in what they call an ‘espionage trip’.
Letsch told the newspaper: “We already knew a lot about our opponents. There is a lot of information nowadays, without going to a club, but we attach great important to live analysis. Then you can see things clearly. Our program has provided a small space for the Spurs and Rennes games. That’s nice”.
While Tottenham are favourites to win the competition as a whole, Vitesse are the ones currently leading Group G after their 2-0 win over NS Mura in their European campaign opener.
