Rafa Mir believes he is in the ‘ideal place’ after leaving Wolves to join Sevilla this summer.
The Spanish striker completed a move to Sevilla last week after a summer of speculation about his future at Molineux.
He originally signed for Wolves back in 2018 from Valencia’s B side but never broke through in the Midlands, making just four appearances for the club and instead spending most of his time with them on various loan spells.
It was his time with Huesca that proved to be the most fruitful, with him racking up 25 goals in 57 games for the club after arriving in January 2020.
That form convinced Sevilla to pay the money to bring him in from Wolves this summer, and he says he now feels he’s at the ideal place to continue developing.
“I chose Sevilla FC because it is a great and ambitious project,” ABC Sevilla report him saying at a press conference today.
“I’m happy for those first minutes and for the sensations that were very good. It’s going to be an exciting season, and we have to be ready.
“They have received me very well. People are united. Now I feel the affection even though I’ve only been here for a few days.
“I’m happy to be here, and so I’m in the ideal place.”
