Nathan Ake signed for Bournemouth on loan at the start of the season, and gave his parent club Chelsea a huge boost when he scored the winner against Liverpool last weekend.

The Chelsea defender scored a stoppage time goal in a 4-3 win against Liverpool to send the London club three points clear in the table, which could prove to be crucial come May.

Italian website Calciomercato have a feature on Nathan Ake saying the Dutch defender is the ‘secret weapon of Conte’.

Calciomercato say Conte gives hope to Ake, and could turn around his career just like he has with Victor Moses.

It’s been reported Ake could play in Conte’s three man defence in the future, and the Italian manager would be the right man for his development.

Calciomercato highlight how Ake has been rejected by Chelsea managers in the past, which has ultimately led to him being loaned out. At 17 years of age, Ake made his Premier League debut under Rafael Benitez, but was again demoted to the youth team by Jose Mourinho.

Ake arrived at Chelsea from Feyenoord in 2011 for €800k. It was Didier Drogba who convinced Ake to sign for Chelsea, and the London club also brought over his brother Cedric to work in the club’s store.

The Italian football outlet believe Ake could be really crucial for Conte in the coming years, and is making progress in the right direction.
