There doesn’t seem to be a great deal of panic around PSG about the future of Mauricio Pochettino, as claims continue of a possible return to Tottenham Hotspur.
A surprise second shot at Spurs had been mentioned a few times in recent weeks, and then Thursday saw it all explode. Several French reports then covered the situation, with some even seeking to back up the claims.
There’s a belief from others that was in reaction to the English reports, and not from fresh French information, regardless of how it was presented.
RMC now tell their readers that reports are getting rather more serious in the English media. They explain the country’s football press ‘insists’ on the story having something in it, and they then go on to calm any PSG fans who may be panicking about their club’s immediate future.
According to RMC, the repeat reports ‘coming from England’ about Tottenham ‘do not worry’ PSG. They still count on having Pochettino as their manager, and he has ‘never’ shown anything negative towards the club.
The Argentine manager is also already working on preseason plans with PSG staff, so doesn’t show any serious signs of having a step out of the door.
The strength of claims coming from England is certainly catching the attention of RMC and others, however, PSG are clearly sending out messages of calm.
