Tottenham defender Serge Aurier has changed agent ahead of a potential exit from the club this summer.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say he has decided to engage with VV Consulting after being ‘courted by many agents’ ahead of the summer.
Aurier has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham, with Paris Saint Germain thought to be keen on a move.
A deal looked extremely likely to happen while Jose Mourinho was in charge, with the full-back having fallen out of favour under the Portuguese boss after a series of unimpressive displays.
That may have changed now Mourinho is gone, with his replacement likely to want to make his own assessments on the squad when he arrives.
In the interim, there continue to be rumours about a return to PSG, and the Tottenham star has now hinted heavily that a transfer is on the cards by swapping agents.
Players don’t tend to do that if they are happy and settled, so it’s a big hint that things could be about to happen.
Now, we know very little about VV Consulting other than Aurier is now their biggest client alongside the likes of Mouctar Diakhaby, Fabien Centonze and Farid Boulaya, who all happen to play in France at this moment in time.
That suggests the agents have good contacts in the country, and a quick internet search suggests they are also linked to Ludovic Giuly, the former French midfielder who made 100 appearances for PSG during a three-year spell between 2008 and 2011.
That’s certainly an interesting coincidence given Aurier’s links to PSG this summer, and with a new agent now in place, it’ll be worth keeping a close eye on the Tottenham man this summer.
