According to Bild, the only way a sale could be considered in the summer is if the Bundesliga side receive an ‘immoral offer’ well beyond Neuhaus’ €40m release clause.
“We are in contact with all players. Yes, players will leave us after this season. But nobody has to worry that we won’t have a very competitive team again,” Borussia Mönchengladbach director of sports Max Eberl said.
It’s claimed exits for the likes of Marcus Thuram and Denis Zakaria could be on the cards, but that of Neuhaus remains unlikely as he is expected to be the key figure for his club next season.
