It’s now been a month since Marcos Rojo left Manchester United to sign for Boca Juniors. The announcement was made after the end of the January transfer window, with the Argentine club signing the player for free.

Getafe, Rennes and Cruz Azul all made offers for him during the transfer window, but the Spanish side wanted him on a free move, and would only pay for his wages.
The other two, however, were ready to pay a fee for the transfer, especially the Mexican side, who made a higher bid.
But Rojo rejected them all. According to the report, he kept waiting until he could finally sign for Boca Juniors, who ‘didn’t spend a dollar’ on his transfer.
This means Manchester United missed the chance of maybe making a few millions from his sale, all because the Argentine had his eye on a move back to his home country.
