Serie A side Roma will be hoping that Everton don’t play Robin Olsen too much between now and the end of the season, so they remain convinced to sign him.
That’s according to Il Romanista, who believe the Toffees may change their mind on the keeper if they get too much of an in-depth look at him.
Olsen is currently on loan at Goodison Park, having joined the club in the summer transfer window to provide competition for Jordan Pickford.
He’s largely played a substitute role to the England number one this season but has impressed when called upon, particularly in recent weeks with Pickford out with a rib injury.
Reports from Italy have indicated they would be very open to that happening; indeed, it has even been claimed they are hoping that Everton will make an offer.
Whether that happens remains to be seen, but Il Romanista say the bigger hope is that they don’t see too much of Olsen and change their mind.
“The Premier League has been enjoying Olsen’s quality when he plays this year,” they write.
“The Swedish goalkeeper is on a dry loan at Everton where Ancelotti has already said he wants to buy him.
“The hope, if you’ll pardon the pun, is that he doesn’t play him much; otherwise there’s a risk he’ll reconsider.”
