Paris Saint Germain will not open negotiations with Everton over a permanent move for Moise Kean this month, despite reports in England.
That’s what Le Parisien report today, refuting claims from the UK that the French giants want to sort out a permanent deal in the January transfer window.
Kean is currently on loan with the Ligue 1 side, having been shipped out at the end of the summer transfer window following a disappointing first year on Merseyside.
He’s proven to be a massive hit in Paris since, regularly featuring under previous manager Thomas Tuchel and impressing, with ten goals in all competitions.
According to their information, PSG have ‘not entered’ into negotiations over a deal and do not intend to.
They explain that the January window will not be one of ‘crazy expenses’ for the Parisians, who will have to deal with big losses at the end of the season as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and the suspension of payments related to TV rights.
As such, they will look to try and find good deals as they did in the summer, such as the loan one they struck with Everton for Kean.
For the Italian striker, it will ‘probably be necessary’ to wait until the end of the season to see what happens about his future.
That will suit Everton, who, if reports are to be believed, aren’t interested in talking about a deal until the summer anyway, when Kean’s value could be even higher.
