‘Two men and three shirts’. That’s how Italian website Tutto Mercato Web reports today on the situations of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, who have the possibility of switching clubs in January.
Starting with the Danish midfielder, the outlet claims he couldn’t fit into Antonio Conte’s ideas at Inter Milan, and that’s why the Nerazzurri have put him on the transfer market.
Something similar happens to Dele Alli at Tottenham Hotspur, as the player hasn’t been able to convince José Mourinho, and could soon be moving to a new league.
Now the three clubs mentioned by the website are Spurs, Inter Milan and Paris Saint Germain, as they all could be involved in these transfers.
In Eriksen’s case, he could move back to Tottenham on a loan deal. Even though PSG are also mentioned as an option, the report says he’s ‘looking to London’, with the chances of a return being more likely.
Dele Alli, on the other hand, could be on his way to Paris to meet his ‘mentor’ Mauricio Pochettino. Tutto Mercato Web says there’s the chance of a loan deal, just like in Eriksen’s move.
The outlet makes it clear that none of these moves are in an advanced stage, as they are possibilities to ‘keep an eye on’ during the January transfer window.
Following Tutto Mercato Web’s story, outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport then came up with a similar article, saying Eriksen could be going ‘back home’.
They state José Mourinho ‘appreciates’ the Dane’s skills and could offer the player a place he doesn’t have at Inter Milan right now.
Gazzetta also relates Eriksen’s arrival at Spurs to the departure of Delle Ali, whose encounter with Mauricio Pochettino is mentioned once again.
