Inter Live have an exclusive on Monday regarding the future of Christian Eriksen.
Moving to Inter Milan from Tottenham Hotspur in the last winter window, and accompanied at the time by great fanfare, the Denmark international has had a miserable experience under Antonio Conte.
The manager clearly isn’t a fan of Eriksen and it’s been made clear the player is available in the January transfer window. It’s just a question of where he’s going to end up.
Arsenal have been repeatedly linked, but in the past week or so it’s PSG who have been getting most of the attention. Mauricio Pochettino is the new manager at the Ligue 1 champions, and given the Spurs connection it’s been a rumour which was inevitable.
Inter Live largely dismiss this and say Eriksen isn’t a priority for PSG right now. According to the report, the track leading to Arsenal is ‘hot’ and Mikel Arteta’s side ‘can be considered on pole’ for the signing.
However, Arsenal haven’t yet accelerated their efforts into anything meaningful, and a swap deal involving Granit Xhaka is now seen as less likely than it once was. The insinuation is that should the Gunners sign Eriksen then it will have nothing to do with the Swiss midfielder.
