Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the Swedish media his impressive performances since joining the club have made it easy for the fans to like him. Jansson joined the Championship side in the summer on loan from Torino, with a possibility the move can be made permanent.

In an interview with Aftonbladet, Jannson was asked how he felt the Leeds United fans have taken to him. The Sweden international believes he has put in some good performances for Leeds United since he arrived at the club, which has been helped by his side’s good run of form.

Jansson said this has made it easier for him to be accepted by the Leeds United fans, and that his style of play has also been instrumental in settling in at the club.

“I have performed well on the field to begin with. Things are going well for the team since I arrived. Then it became easier to start to like me. My style of play helps,” said the Leeds United star.

Leeds United made a poor start to the season, but since Jansson came into the team they have climbed up the table. Following the 3-2 win against Norwich City last weekend, Leeds United are now just outside the play-off places.

The Swede has also become something of a cult hero among the Leeds United supporters, which was apparent during the celebrations for his goal on Saturday.
